Don't suppose you know the duty cycle with no/very little pressure? I have a 2002 Golf and it's reporting pressure too high for 30 secs after engine start then pressure too low. There is no gas in the system. There is a 00792 pressure switch fault logged which comes back each time the car is started.

I had no idea I have to prim the filter first before starting the engine.. Changed it cranked it up ran smoothly then turned it off then after a while came back again and all of a sudden couldnt start... I was lost so now I know what to do next thanks sir 😅

Nice! Fixed mine without removing headliner. Just dropped visers trim ring etc. Both rubber tube's were disconnected from opposite end. Put back & zip tied. I've had three r53's. My advice is unless you are VERY good with mechanical knowledge/good with your hands. Or extremely wealthy! Don't buy one!!!!! Awesome fun cars, but very undependable!!!!! Best sport car ever!!!! (When they're running) 😂

Sounds like a Egr value stuck in open position, and after few seconds exhaust gas choke the intake.

have the same problem my friend. P2563 Active/Static Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. Mine comes up all random. It may not show up for 1-2 weeks and then all of a sudden the glow plug indicator starts flashing. What could possibly be wrong? The car itself drives without any issues, however some loss of power when the glow plug is flashing. When I turn the car On and OFF and On again, the glow plug indicator is gone and will show up maybe some days later all random. I am struggling to know what to do. Please help brother. Thank you for your vídeo. I have a volkswagen golf 4, 1.9 tdi, engine AHF of the year 1998. I should have changed the engine oil after driving 10000km. I forgot and 18000km passed without changing the oil. The car has stopped and the engine won't start. When I turn the key in the ignition, I feel a huge force from the engine trying to start. I don't know if the problem is with the fuel injection or the vacuum system. Today I changed the fuel filter, engine oil and filter, glow plugs, electrical pipe for the 4 glow plugs, starter motor reconditioned by me with new parts: solenoid, bendix and carbon brushes and I cleaned the diesel pump. I haven't checked yet: the lambda probe, injection pump, vacuum pump, oil pump and alternator-generator. I started it again, but it doesn't seem to inject diesel. I don't see diesel circulating in the injection pump hose. I suspect the fuel line is not being pressurized. Maybe that's why the diesel doesn't reach the injection pump. Please, I really need you to help me solve this problem. Can you help me?

I ended up purchasing one of those Rostra wiring harnesses for mine ,as my temp sensor fluctuates wildly. I know its the harness , hit a bump and the temp changes. Or after giving it a bath under the hood it reads ok for a day or so. They say its an upgrade over the original ribbon cable style. Its the original harness ,i probably touched it or breathed on it while installing an auxiliary trans cooler. Anyways,if the harness breaks i guess im fishing pieces out if the connectors. Ill be careful,but i always expect the worst, is there much risk of breaking tabs or anything that the harness connectors go into?

I seen you old post on tdi forum. I own a shop too and do a lot of these old tdi’s. Last fall my personal golf started to have bad converter shutter and I rebuilt the valve body a year prior. Only code was for converter mechanical fault. I figured it probably needs a converter it does have 300k on it but My shop was so busy I had no time to check it out. I put on a few thousand miles and the shutter got really bad so I scanned it again still just converter mechanical fault. On the way home it went into limp mode so I scanned it and it was a solenoid code. It had the normal 5-6 ohms cold and 50+ hot. Replaced the solenoid and no more shutter. Was super strange to not get a solenoid code for so long.

Is there any ATF for the 09A i can buy off a local parts store, I got p0778 code recently, rough shifting on 1,2,3 rd. Hope its just low on fluid, since i noticed a small leak.

Hi there i., having the same problem with timing , and de idle rpm is on 1200.

My 2.0 pdtdi does the same thing (bmm engine), but for some reson the problem is random. It starts and works fine for some days or weeks, but randomly, even while driving the engine gets sluggish then shuts off when the car stops. Then I can't start it and it does exactly the same as shown in the video. After some hours, the engine starts to work as usual. Do you have any clue what could cause the problem? Could it be DPF related? Also there are no fault codes in vcds! Thanks in advance!

It does seem however that mini does not let that low speed fan come on until 220F which seems high. Also it looks like the high fan comes on around 230F

I have a 04 BEW Tdi. I have no boost in 1st gear, then every other gear not hitting boost until 2.5k rpm you’ll feel it spool and rolls coal. Then got to highway speed and it threw a P0299 for under boost then I had no boost. All my vacuum lines seem good and my actuator moves if I press hard on it. It has an egr delete block off plate and a kerma tune. Have you had a car with similar issues before?

I have a 2014 Jetta 2.0 TDI I'm having problems with dpf I have replaced the intake but not the filter,the dealership said they regenerated the filter (supposedly) and now light is back on 2 days later. Should I replace the dpf or should I delete it? I have subscribed thank you.
